Project Support, Senior at Zebra Technologies

As a result of recent business wins, we have an exciting opportunity for experienced Project Coordinators to join our diverse international team on a temporary contract for a minimum of 6-months, possibly going to 12 months as the project timelines dictate. This role will involve potential travel to customer sites on a reasonably frequent basis with the option to work from home or our offices in Bourne End.
Working on key projects, overseeing Zebra technology hardware and software installations and integrations at multiple customer sites.
Working closely with and managing 3rd part software development teams across Europe.
Being the main point of contact for Zebra with the customer, building and handling key relationships and delivering within agreed timescales/SLA’s etc.
Effectively handles projects of complex scope leading the project team to execute against timeline and budget metrics. Creates a clear project Scope statement and builds a supporting plan which effectively factors in resource availability, task durations and dependencies, budgets and costs. Includes simple Risk Management plans. Understands the makeup of the project/team and directs supervision to the areas of greatest need.
Checks progress regularly against the plan and adjust to optimize execution. Documents progress against the project plan throughout the project. Formulates status reports and presents them to the team and immediate manager. Status reports are encouraged to be concise summaries, tailored to the audience - from VP’s down to individual contributors. Personally, knowledgeable on most aspects of the program, down to a reasonable level of detail according to criticality.
Has the ability to see cross-functional impacts of decisions and project plans and execution. Balances scope, schedule and budget considerations to adjust the project with minimal impact to the business.
Independently engages additional resources as needed to address obstacles or delays. Adjusts the plan per management guidelines as delays or obstacles are experienced.
May lead multiple moderate to complex projects or one large program with cross-functional teams in numerous locations and time zones. May lead the program through delegation and oversight of less senior project managers.
Your experience will include recent experience in a similar Project Support position. This will have been gained in external customer-facing projects. Any exposure to technology (hardware, software, connectivity) is a plus but we will consider experience from other industry sectors. Knowledge of retail, supply chain or manufacturing environments are also highly desirable.
